Jay Evans was born and raised in Dallas, TX. As far back a young child, he always enjoyed watching his uncles’ gospel group, The Victorious Gospel Jubilees of Dallas. His love of gospel music began to grow from there. He went on to watch his father, the late Deacon Don Evans, who was a morning Christian Disc Jockey for 26 years. From there, he gained his love for radio. He was the true inspiration in starting Jay’s radio journey.
He has been fortunate to work with such stations as KPBC Dallas, KJSL in St. Louis, KKGM in Dallas and now making his home as part of KHVN.
