Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles is set to write her Autobiography

Fresh off of her record-setting turn in Rio, Simone Biles has made public appearances, is raking in the endorsements, and is now set to tell her life story in an upcoming autobiography.

Courage to Soar will detail how the 19-year-old Olympic gold medalist and World Champion got her start in gymnastics and became one of the best — if not the best — gymnasts in history. The book, which will feature a foreword by Mary Lou Retton, will be published by Zondervan and goes on sale Nov. 15.

“I want people to reach for their dreams. If you’re willing to put in a lot of work, and if you’re focused and determined, you can go really far,” Biles says in a statement. “That doesn’t mean everything will happen overnight; for me, it took years of training and perseverance to reach my goals. But looking back on it now, I’m glad I didn’t give up. There so many people who have inspired me with their love and encouragement along the way — and I want to pass on that inspiration to readers.”

Biles is the first woman to win three consecutive world all-around titles, and she earned earned four gold medals and one bronze at the Olympic Games in Rio, setting a new American record for most gold medals received in women’s gymnastics at a single Games. She’s also the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history, surpassing Shannon Miller, who previously held the record with 16 medals in Olympic and world competition.
