Congratulations are in order!
Recently it was announced that a product of BET’s Sunday Best, Alexis Spight has inked a record deal with Uncle G Records!
The “Steady” singer is the first artist to sign to the newly formed label, which is headed by Veteran Industry Executive Greg “Uncle G” Lyons who has also served as Spight’s manager since she signed with Music World Gospel following her success on BET’s Sunday Best.
On her new record deal, the singer revealed:
I’m currently working on my sophomore project entitled ‘Dear Diary’ that will be released under my brand new label Uncle G Records, slated to come out soon. I’m so excited about this new season God has released me into! Stay tuned for more exciting news that’s in the works.
Set to work closely with Greg Lyons, president of Uncle G Records. Lyons explained:
I’m so excited and honored that Alexis has decided to be the first artist to sign to my new label. After Sunday Best, several people approached her for management consideration. She said she prayed about it, and the Lord revealed it in a dream. We have been working hard ever since. Of all the top artists I’ve worked with throughout my career, Alexis is one of the hardest working I’ve come across. It paid off in her two Stellar nominations on her freshman project ‘L.O.L.’ She’s done everything I’ve asked of her and more. Her zest and love for God is incredible. I’m looking forward to assisting her in her growth.
